Teachers sharpen their instructional strategies in the crucial area of academic language development. Participants analyze and reflect on unedited ELD lesson videos filmed in classrooms just like theirs.
This course is a prerequisite to Academic Language Development in Action Part B (Strategies for Expanding Students’ Language).
All TeachStar Online Academy courses offer optional CEUs, Graduate Education Units, Professional Development Credit or Salary Point Credits (LAUSD teachers only).

- Participants are automatically enrolled through MyPLN and receive LAUSD Salary Points.
- 4.5 Quarter Units (3 Semester Units)
- $300 UCLA Tuition Fee (This is in addition to the TeachStar Online tuition fee.)
- Participants are given the opportunity to register with UCLA during the 2nd week of their TeachStar Online course.
